The world of Diablo 4 has been sailing smoothly for a while now. While Season 4: Respawn was lacking in new content, it was widely considered one of the best seasons in the game, all thanks to the radical changes it brought to itemization in the game.

To be fair, the Season 4 PTR was also partly a success for the game, as it allowed players to experience most of the changes coming to the upcoming season in advance. This was the first time Diablo 4 had used a PTR, but the amount of changes was enough to justify it. The fact that Season 5 will also use the same PTR suggests that the next season of the game will also have big things in store.

Diablo 4’s currently ongoing Season 4 doesn’t end until the first week of August, so it’s a bit surprising that Blizzard announced the Season 5 PTR so early in Season 4. The game just recently received its Season 4 mid-season update, and it’s ahead of schedule.

So what changes can we expect in Season 5? Well, that’s the question that today’s livestream will answer. The developers are hosting a campfire chat today specifically to answer many of these questions, and possibly reveal the start date of the PTR as well.

Today’s developer livestream is scheduled for 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UKThe Season 5 PTR preview will be led by Lead Season Designer Daniel Tanguay and Lead Live Class Designer Adam Jackson, with Community Director Adam Fletcher serving as moderator.

In addition to a look at everything about the Season 5 PTR, the show will also share details on how to access the next iteration of the test realm. Unfortunately, it’s still exclusive to BattleNet on PC, so console and Steam players will have to wait for that update as well.

As with all developer livestreams, the show will also end with a Q&A session, so you should definitely tune in if you’re not too busy exploring Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree.

You can watch the show on the official Diablo YouTube and Twitch channels, the latter of which we’ve embedded below.
