Overwatch competitor Marvel Rivals is set to enter a closed beta in July; there is now a concrete launch date.
In a new blog post today, the specific start date of the closed beta test phase of the online action game Marvel Rivals was announced. The Overwatch competitor will therefore enter this closed beta on July 23, 2024.
It is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. EDT on that day, but due to the time difference, it will be July 24th at midnight for us. This beta test phase is scheduled to end on August 5th, 2024. Players can participate on both console and PC. After registration, access will be confirmed and sent daily.

The blog entry also announced a list of over 20 available characters that will be playable during the closed beta. Well-known Marvel characters such as Black Panther, Groot, Hulk, Magneto and Peni Parker are among those taking part. The maps available in the beta include Yggsgard and Tokyo 2099, and the game modes available are Convoy, Domination and Convergence.
Marvel Rivals does not yet have a specific release date. The online action title is confirmed for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
