Game News Metroid Prime 4 reminded you of the latest Halo? It’s no coincidence at all
If the first images of Metroid Prime 4 made you think of other cult titles in the genre, it’s no coincidence. The software is led by a team of veterans who have worked on several video game hits.
An expected revelation
Nintendo has finally revealed the first pictures of it Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Samus Aran must finally return with a new, unpublished 3D opus in 2025, two years after the release of Metroid Prime Remastered which had already given us good hope of finding our heroine.
Currently, Nintendo has not announced a release platform, but the game could turn out to be the last major software to be released on the Switch, while the hybrid console should say goodbye until next year. But for a Switch game, we have to admit that technically speaking, Metroid Prime 4 seems quite promising and ready to compete on equal terms with other big names in the genre. But beyond the technical side, it is also the gameplay and artistic direction that force the game to be compared to its competitors. Obvious similarities that are no coincidence, since Metroid Prime 4 would actually be overseen by a real shock squad of industry veterans.
The Dream Team
VGC recently took an interest in the development of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and revealed the names of the developers involved in the project. And without too much surprise, we find that the software is actually led by a real dream team made up of veterans who have participated in major games. While developers have been associated with Metroid Prime since the spin-off’s debut, many members of the Retro Studios team worked on Halo during the 343 Industries era. But that’s not all.
Thus we find Battlefield, Call of Duty, Tomb Raider, Mass Effect or even Donkeyu Kong Country… so many games that come back insistently to the resume of the developers responsible for the successful completion of Metroid Prime 4. Based on these previous apps, we can only conclude that this new chapter of Metroid Prime is in very good hands. Answer next year.
