After serious allegations against her, streamer Anni the Duck decided to disappear from the spotlight for the time being. At the end of May 2024, she announced a long break, which has now come to a surprising end.
The Twitch community was amazed when Anni the Duck suddenly went live on the streaming platform on June 28, 2024. After all, exactly one month earlier, she had announced that she was taking a break. The reason was serious allegations from her ex-girlfriend Reved and her close confidante Mowky, after which a ton of other alleged victims came forward.
In the preliminary farewell post on X (formerly Twitter), Anissa Baddour, the real name of Anni the Duck, said: “You may have noticed: I am broken and need time. Apart from the lack of resources now, I am neither mentally nor physically able to do my job and entertain people. As a result, I am stopping as a content creator for the time being and am trying to reflect on myself – and to rearrange and change my life.”
In her recent live stream, she addressed a few points. According to her, she didn’t go live for money. Instead, she felt like she had to do something again, she felt like she was in quarantine and was gradually going “crazy.”
When asked if she was a narcissist, she answered with a clear “no”, but admitted that she had since been diagnosed with ADHD. Autism is also a possibility, but there has not been a concrete diagnosis yet, so she does not want to see this diagnosis as official. She is in therapy, and continues to deny the accusation that she has treated her cat badly.
Of course, the stream was not met with great enthusiasm so soon after her departure and the accusations. Nevertheless, there were a total of around 1,000 subscriptions for $4.99 each. Financially, the stream seemed to have paid off. It is not certain whether Baddour will go online again in the near future.
