Square Enix has already announced it for Final Fantasy VII Remake, now Capcom has to spread the bad news: Resident Evil 3 Remake will be released on April 3, but not in physical form. The reason for this is, just like with the role-playing game, the currently difficult delivery of the disc versions.
Capcom announced via Twitter that some markets in Europe may not be able to launch the game on April 3:

The problem lies in the transport of the versions, which is currently very difficult due to extensive restrictions on the introduction of goods. To this end, many specialist shops, such as electronics stores, will remain closed until further notice. Thus, the disc versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are likely to be delayed. Capcom does not make an appointment, but does indicate that it is in close contact with its trading partners in order to be able to announce new information soon.
The digital release is of course not affected, so you can easily download Resident Evil 3 Remake and the new online mode Resident Evil Resistance for each system. In view of throttled download speeds, for example for the PlayStation Store, this shouldn't be much consolation for people with generally weak internet …
