Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League didn’t become the AAA blockbuster that Warner Bros. Games was expecting, but the promised post-launch content is still coming.
Following the Joker’s introduction in season one, season two debuts next week (July 11), which will see the introduction of Mrs. Freeze, aka Nora Fryce (sorry, Victor fans), as well as a host of map changes, new activities, and new weapons to hopefully please those who stick around until Warner Games ceases operations.

I personally didn’t hate Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League when it was released back in February, but agreed with nearly everyone who played it that it lacked the depth to keep looter-shooter veterans around, and felt too generic for the original adaptation.
Rocksteady’s narrative and audiovisual expertise certainly gives the game a polished and solid initial impression that other competitors in this space have lacked in the past, but the core systems and mechanics are far from the appeal needed to support its live service goals. Still, in my opinion, this game is more fun to play than The First Ascendant.
As Rocksteady and owner WB Games figure out what to do next, post-launch support for the game has slowed down, with smaller patches and development updates becoming less frequent. That being said, it looks like both the publisher and developer are still committed to releasing At least All the seasons promised after the game’s release – 4 in total. However, anything after Season 4 doesn’t seem to be a possibility, but the publisher probably doesn’t want to wipe out the game’s remaining player base with this terrible news. At least not yet.
You can check out the full roadmap and details for Season 2 shared by the game’s official X account below:
The star of the show, of course, is Mrs. Freese, Victor Freese’s terminally ill wife turned supervillain, who is likely from another corner of the multiverse introduced in the main game story. Of course, the ongoing (and likely shortened) post-campaign story will take Task Force X to another world to fight Brainiac, who is posing as Superman and the Flash. Later in the season, the main boss battle will become a double whammy between Superman and Green Lantern, which could be a very tense battle.
More melee and ranged weapons and a new Infamy set have been added to the loot pool, and those willing to shell out for premium skins in the in-game store will get some nice skins. Plus, you get a battle pass that looks a lot more appealing than the last one. As for Metropolis, its new alternate-world version is certainly deserted, and there will be more new invasions to come. Long story short: you’ll get more of the same, plus new shiny loot and skins to fight over. If you’ve been enjoying the endgame loop, it looks like you’ll be in for a good life.
While the PC player base continues to dwindle despite the massive price cuts, Suicide Squad: KTJL seems to have managed to stay afloat as an online game for a while, despite its poor financial performance, thanks to cross-platform play and the fact that it seems to have a more active community on consoles, although numbers have not yet been publicly released.
