However, Microsoft’s attempts to revive these series have not always been successful, so it will likely be some time before a return to current Xbox consoles can be imagined
Cult licenses with no news on Xbox
In 2005, Rare released Conker: Live & Reloaded on the original Xbox, a remake of Conker’s Bad Fur Day. For Banjo-Kazooie, we had to wait until 2008 to see a new game, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, on the Xbox 360. This game took a different direction from previous installments, focusing more on building vehicles than traditional platforming. Although this innovation was praised for its advanced mechanics, it did not achieve the expected commercial success.
No new Banjo-Kazooie games have been developed since Nuts & Bolts. In 2015, the series was included in the Rare Replay compilation to mark the studio’s 30th anniversary, but that’s the only concession to fans that’s been made since then. Former Rare developers did, however, create Yooka-Laylee with Playtonic, a well-received spiritual successor with a remastered version in the works.
Accordingly Jez Corden According to Windows Central, there are currently no Banjo-Kazooie games in development at Rare or Microsoft. During a podcast, Corden confirmed that, contrary to fans’ expectations, there are no plans in the works for Xbox. Rare remains focused on Sea of Thieves and the mysterious Everwild.
