Hoyoverse —the Chinese studio behind hits like Genshin Impact y Honkai Star Rail— launched a new gacha game in early July with a fantastic urban setting and a focus on a colorful combat system. Let’s take a look at all the starting characters from version 1.0 of Zenless Zone Zero and organize them in a ‘tier list’ to discover which are the best.
If you are just starting to play this free title, This list of codes It will help you get Movies to tune in more characters and items to upgrade them.
Types of characters
The character type determines the role they will play in combat.
- Attacker: These characters focus on dealing damage to enemies. Their strength and critical hit potential are their main characteristics.
- Stunner: These types of characters seek to fill up as soon as possible to put them in a state where we can cause massive damage to them.
- Assistant: Characters that support the team through healing, damage boosting, defense, and other properties.
- Anomalous: These characters have a greater ability to cause status ailments to enemies.
- Defender: They are the tanks that have the highest defense and can withstand the most damage while the others deal damage, stun, and more.
Attributes
The attribute a character has determines the type of attacks they perform and the anomaly they can cause to an enemy after repeated hits. The attributes in Zenless Zone Zero are Physicist, Igneous, Electric, Glacial y Ethereal.
Before traveling to a Cavity, it’s a good idea to look at what enemies you’ll be facing and what attributes they’re weak to in order to select an appropriate team. Having multiple characters of the same type, attribute, or affiliation on a team gives them certain advantages.
Tier List of characters from Zenless Zone Zero
After spending several hours on the release version (1.0) of Zenless Zone Zero and carefully studying the abilities of all the characters to find out which ones are the best, I organized this ‘tier list’ using This template in TierMaker.
Let’s analyze all the components of this ‘tier list’ below.
What are the best characters in Zenless Zone Zero?
Tier S – the best characters
Ideally, these are the characters you should have on your team, but getting them depends on how lucky you are when using the gacha. We don’t recommend spending a lot of money on these games, so we wish you the best of luck when it comes to spending the movies you get for free when playing.
If you don’t get them, don’t worry. Even the lowest tier characters can be the best if we improve them and build the right team. Zenless Zone Zero around it.
Ellen Joe
Attacker – Glacial
It is not uncommon for the first main character of a banner to be Zenless Zone Zero is one of the best in the game’s starting roster. She is currently the best attacker in the game due to the speed and power of her attacks. She is enhanced by the ability to obtain “instant freeze” charges that greatly increase her chance of critical hits and make it easier to freeze enemies, leaving them vulnerable to receiving even more damage.
Alexandrina ‘Rina’ Sebastiane
Auxiliary – Electrical
It’s always useful to have a ranged character on your team, and Rina is currently the best at it. Not only are her attacks very fast and damaging, but she has dual attributes of physical and electric. She works best on electric teams or with characters with firearms thanks to her ability to improve attack penetration, but she’s dynamic enough to serve in any composition.
Mana Nekomiya
Striker – Physical
Her lack of an attribute may make her seem less interesting, but Nekomiya is one of the best characters in Zenless Zone Zero or even the best of all if what we are interested in is attacking incessantly. Its attack speed is very high and it can have resistance to interruption. Perfect for causing damage without thinking about anything else.
By Lycaon
Stunner – Glacial
This elegant furry is the best stunner in version 1.0. His combos are devastating and enhanced by his ability to charge them up to deal more damage, stun, and eventually freeze. His stun is even more useful if he’s on a team with another character of the same affiliation, making a team with Ellen Joe both unstoppable.
Tier A – good characters
These characters may not be the most powerful in the game, but they are extremely useful and we recommend taking them into consideration when forming a team.
Nicole
Auxiliary – Ethereal
While Nicole suffers from the lack of other ethereal-attribute characters, she is still extremely useful. Her ability to “gather” enemies and deal area damage while lowering their defense is perfect for her fellow attackers to deal group damage. Her playstyle is very different from the others and can be tricky to learn how to handle her well, but it’s worth it especially since she’s a free character.
Grace
Anomalous – Electrical
At first glance, Grace doesn’t seem to be anything special among ranged characters, but that changes when we look at her potential for electric anomaly accumulation, which can increase even when she’s not on the field. If she’s accompanied by Rina, enemies are going to suffer greatly under her electrocution.
Ugly
Stunner – Igneous
On her own, Koleda is a very good stunner with decent damage output, but she’s not special and seems more suited to tier B. But if we put her on the same team as Ben, her attacks are so devastating and damaging that she can fill the double role of stunner and DPS.
Soukaku
Auxiliary – Glacial
This curious oni has a high capacity to cause Glacial anomaly, but it is her “raise the banner” ability that makes her special due to how much it increases her own damage and that of her teammates. She works best in teams focused on Glacial damage.
No. 11
Attacker – Fiery
In the absence of Ellen Joe, No. 11 is the best attacker in the game, and her fire attacks are unmatched (there is literally no other fire attacker in the game right now). Her combos are easy to do, and fire buildup can be caused by pressing attacks at the right time. She’s a simple, but useful character.
Lucy
Auxiliary – Electrical
Another excellent support character who doesn’t need to stay on the field to deal damage or boost her teammates’ attack. Just leave her Guardian Boars on the field doing the work for her while her teammates do what they need to do.
Tier B – Acceptable Characters
In the absence of better characters, a team of these agents can do the job well.
Anby
Stunner – Electric
We have a lot of affection for Anby since she was the first character we controlled in the game, but unless we upgrade her enough we can replace her with other stunners. With a good level and learning to consistently activate the third attack of her combo, she will remain useful for a long time.
Ben
Defender – Fiery
Ben is the only defensive character in the game at the moment, but so far there are no enemies that make us need a tank like him and his attacks, while powerful, are very slow. He can be very useful for players who want to play it safe, but at the moment what puts him in ‘Tier B’ instead of ‘C’ is how much he boosts Koleda’s attacks.
Anton
Striker – Electric
Anton is a very good character on an electric team, but the need to use his EX special attack to deal as much damage as possible puts him below other attackers.
Piper
Anomalous – Physical
At the moment, Piper is only useful in a team with Nekomiya, as the catgirl can deal much more damage to enemies affected by the assault anomaly that this little axe-wielder focuses on. Otherwise, we don’t see what we can do with her.
Tier C – They are useful if you don’t have better characters
We recommend swapping them out for others when you get the chance. That doesn’t mean they can’t be useful or fun. If you want to team up with them, go ahead.
Billy
Striker – Physical
For the first attacker we meet in the game, Billie doesn’t do too much damage to enemies. She’s useful for attacking groups at the beginning of the game, but is quickly replaced by other characters.
Corin
Striker – Physical
Another character that we can get for free if we redeem the gifts we get for playing at launch. Corin is fun to use thanks to her curious “pizza cutter”, but it has little capacity when it comes to facing multiple enemies at once. If you don’t have any other characters, she is the DPS par excellence, but we recommend changing her for another attacker quickly.
We remind you that this ‘tier list’ of the best characters of Zenless Zone Zero Only applies to characters from version 1.0 at launch. The new character arrives on July 24 Zhu Yuan and can make a pretty radical change to this list.
