Do you remember Clock Tower? The Japanese series was one of the pioneers of survival horror in the 90s. Fans outside Japan, however, never got to see the first part. That is only changing now, almost 30 years later, with the new edition Clock Tower: Rewind. As the first gameplay trailer reveals, nothing has changed in terms of gameplay – the look and audio are the same as the original version. But there will still be modern features: These include the ability to save freely at any time, a rewind function and the option for multiple saves. This means that small mistakes are no longer as punishing and you can jump back to reach a different ending, for example. There is also a new animated intro, cutscenes with voice output and songs with vocals. Clock Tower Rewind is scheduled to be released in September 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.
