After a super volcano has made the earth’s surface uninhabitable, the rest of humanity must seek refuge underground. But even here, pressure, heat, radiation and other dark dangers lurk for the miners who dig ever deeper. That is the premise of Anoxia Station, a new survival strategy game on Steam. While we manage our underground station turn by turn and mine for vital resources, we must carefully organize our crew of specialists, explore abandoned ruins, manage raw materials and even avoid lakes of magma. The mix of strategic simulation and survival horror does not yet have a fixed release date, but is due to be released in 2025 and is designed purely for single players. Yakov Butuzoff, the solo developer behind the project, recently published the visual novel Loretta, which received mostly positive reviews.
