Companies are always patenting new product designs, but in this case it's a little different. Nintendo Co., Ltd. recently registered a project at the Japan patent office for switchch Lite – a handheld system that launched in September last year.
The device notes that the device is a "gaming computer" and features designers such as Yui Ehara and Junichiro Miyatake. Attached are a number of design photos that look similar to the current model in stores.
Since this looks like the same unit, it looks like this is nothing more than a timely completion. If there are any updates though, we'll be sure to let you know. This follows on from the release of the new Coral switchch Lite, which joins Turquoise, yellow and Gray models.
