Samsung’s Unpacked event starts tomorrow and the manufacturer seems to have a whole series of hardware announcements in store, including the new Galaxy Buds3.
Why this is important: It’s been three years since the release of the Galaxy Buds2. Tomorrow’s presentation of the new headphones is all the more exciting, especially because of their features, but also because of their design.
- As a newly surfaced video shows, the alleged Galaxy Buds3 look very similar to Apple’s AirPods, especially thanks to the white color.
- The case is also similar to that of Apple’s headphones in many respects.
- Nevertheless, there are striking differences: the buds are much more angular on the temple and have color accents.
- Unlike the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, the standard models do not have silicone pads.
Danger: We cannot verify the authenticity of the video, but there are already numerous leaks about the new headphones that confirm the design shown in the video.

Features: What can the new Galaxy Buds3 do?
There are no clear indications yet as to what improvements the third generation will bring. However, there are obvious improvements that Samsung could present tomorrow, as the portal Tom’s Guide reports:
- High-Res-Audio: Samsung’s new headphones could get new drivers to improve the sound. There is talk of 24 bit/96 kHz.
- Battery life: Samsung could give the new headphones a better battery life. For comparison: The Buds2 Pro lasted almost five hours with ANC switched on.
- IP certification: The new earbuds (and the case) may receive an improved IP certification to be better protected against water and dust. Previous rumors speak of IP57. This would protect them against temporary submersion and against the ingress of dust.
- ANC and transparency mode: It is likely that Samsung will give the new headphones an improved ANC and transparency mode. Both functions are very popular in headphones.
Tomorrow it will also be exciting to see whether and which Galaxy AI functions Samsung will integrate into the two headphones. There is speculation, among other things, about a connection to ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini.
The latter is considered likely due to the partnership with Google. The London-based smartphone manufacturer Nothing already offers such AI integration with ChatGPT.
Samsung is also rumored to have a “Live Translation” feature that transcribes and translates calls in real time.
Prices of the new headphones
While the Galaxy Ring, Fold6 and Watch 7 Ultra are expected to have a high price, the current rumors about the headphones give hope.
The prices could be based on the predecessors:
- Galaxy Buds3 Pro: ca. 250 dollars
- Galaxy Buds3: ca. 150 dollars
All rumors should be treated with cautionWe will know for sure tomorrow at the Unpacked event, which starts at 3 p.m. Like last year, we will be covering the spectacle with a live ticker here on GameStar Tech.
