The remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has been available on Nintendo Switch for over a month now. Since then, Nintendo has not been interested in releasing any updates for the game. Even the usual bug fix updates more commonly seen for Nintendo single-player games like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door haven’t happened yet.
Well, that has now changed as of tonight. Nintendo has officially released a brand new update for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. After the update, the remake should be at version 1.0.1. The whole purpose of this update is to fix bugs in the game. You can see the official patch notes in full below.
Solved problems
- Fixed an issue that prevented game progression where you could pass a downed tree on Twilight Path without first getting Tube Mode.
- If this error occurred and the game was saved on a map with a downed tree, you will restart the game set to the location before passing the downed tree.
- If the game is saved somewhere away from the map with the fallen tree, after downloading this updated data, save to the save block on the map with the fallen tree, then return to the title screen. When you select the relevant data again from the save data selection screen, you will restart the game set to the location before passing the fallen tree.
- Fixed an issue where the controls would sometimes no longer respond correctly after hitting an enemy with a hammer on the field.
- Fixed an issue where battles would sometimes no longer progress properly or status icons would no longer display during battles in cases where players had been playing for an extended period of time without closing the software.
- Fixed an issue where the battle against a Koopa Troop hidden behind a clump of grass in Petal Meadows would rarely end correctly.
- Fixed an issue where the controls would rarely respond properly after using Ms. Mowz’s ability on the field.
- Fixed an issue during battles where a player’s move could sometimes be skipped completely after using Double Dip or Triple Dip.
- Fixed some issues with English, French, German, Italian and Korean text.
- A number of other issues have been resolved.
