Xbox Game Pass is raising its prices and reviewing its offering, breaking one of its most important promises. Console and PC gamers must now adapt to these new conditions. The Daily is here!
Xbox Game Pass prices are rising, undermining one of the service’s flagship promises. After the Xbox One generation lagged behind Sony’s PS4, Microsoft relied on this subscription service to differentiate itself. In addition to a large catalog of third-party providers and developers, the offer primarily provides access to Xbox Day One games, a decisive advantage over the competition.
However, in a context where everything is increasing, Microsoft has reviewed its offers. From September 12, four plans will be available: Core, Ultimate, PC and the new Standard for $14.99, although without day-one games. Existing subscribers to the console Game Pass for 10.99 dollars will continue to benefit from this, but new customers will no longer be offered this offer.
PC gamers remain at an advantage as the games will continue to cost $11.99 upon release, while console gamers will have to opt for Ultimate at $17.99. The daily is over!
