Samsung first teased the Galaxy Ring at Galaxy Unpacked earlier this year. After months of anticipation, the company officially announced the arrival of the Galaxy Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked event held today in Paris, where we were also able to see the new Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch7, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 and the updated Galaxy Buds 3 and 3 Pro.
Despite the huge hype surrounding Samsung’s first smart ring since its announcement earlier this year, we finally ran out of Galaxy Ring in Europe: The company has put the device on sale in different regions of the world, but Europe is not among the chosen countries.
The Galaxy Ring is now on sale, but we won’t be able to buy it in Europe
At the Unpacked event held today in Paris, the company announced that the Galaxy Ring will be available in different markets around the world, but Europe will not be among the countries where it will reach (at least for now). In the case of Europe, we know that the Galaxy Ring will go on sale in Germany, France and United Kingdom from this same month of July at the price of 449 dollars.
The fact that Samsung has not launched the Galaxy Ring in Europe in this first phase is not unusual. In fact, many companies are opting for a gradual deployment when they launch a new product category, as is the case with Samsung’s smart ring.
Without a doubt, Samsung is the first interested in bringing the Galaxy Ring to as many markets as possible, especially considering the anticipation generated by the device. Most likely, it will end up arriving in Europe in a few months, but everything seems to indicate that we will have to wait: There is no expected arrival date in Europe.
Smart rings have been generating a lot of interest for some time now, especially among those interested in keep comprehensive control of your physical activity and the quality of your sleep. This is something we can do with a smart watchbut being able to do it while wearing a smart ring is a real plus, especially while sleeping.
Oura is the leading company in the smart ring sector (they only manufacture smart rings), although it is not the only alternative available on the market: we also have options like the Ultrahuman Ring Air, the Rollme R2 or the Amazfit Helio Ring, which It arrived in Europe just a few weeks ago.
Interest in this type of device is only just beginning and more and more companies are choosing to join the trend and create your own version. One example is mobile phone manufacturer Honor, which is also working on launching its own smart ring on the market.
Considering the above, it is clear that Samsung is not the first company to bet on smartwatches, but it could help generate greater interest in this type of device if we take into account the popularity of the company.
