Kingpin’s new demonic powers are a bit of a stretch and put Daredevil in serious danger.

Perhaps Marvel has gone a little overboard with the new powers of Kingpin, one of the most characteristic villains of superheroes like Spider-Man y DaredevilWe saw it in Marvel’s Spider-Man video games, the Netflix (now Disney Plus) series dedicated to the Hell’s Kitchen Demon, and the movie A New Universe of Spidey Miles Morales.

Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, is possessed by the sin of greed and that is making crime a much bigger problem, as indicated by the via ScreenRant. He can now summon and wield the fires of hell itself, something not without irony in the face of Daredevil’s nickname.

These events occur during the comic Daredevil #11 (Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder), after Matt Murdock went to Hell to save Foggy Nelson. He did, but came back infected by the Seven Deadly Sins, who spread across the world and possessed Elektra, She-Hulk and Wolverine. Greed took over for Kingpin. He now has speed, strength and can wield hellfire, which he uses to char Elektra in one of the panels.

As we’ve said, the situation is not without irony. Daredevil, who has always been presented as a devil, now faces a real devil… or at least a diabolical version of Kingpin. If the villain was already a problem in his own right, he now presents a monumental danger to the superhero. The fight between the two is going to be of biblical proportions, never better said.
