The new Star Wars series The Acolyte has to endure a lot of criticism, but fans always find a reason to be happy. Be it a special alien or the amazingly attractive villain. The latest is an amazing appearance by Padawan Torbin (Dean-Charles Chapman from Game of Thrones), who gets to demonstrate his martial arts skills in episode 7.
Warning: Spoilers: The following is about events from the latest episode of The Acolyte. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s best not to read any further.
He can swing a lightsaber
In the first six episodes of The Acolyte, the Jedi Torbin barely had a say. We only saw his death as a Jedi Master, while he was bewitched by the twins’ mother Aniseya (Jodie Turner-Smith) in a flashback.
In episode 7, it was shown what role Torbin and the other Jedi played in the dramatic events on Brendok and in the twins’ childhood. As the situation escalates, Torbin and Sol must fight not only against the witches, but also against the Wookie Jedi Kelnacca (Joonas Suotamo). And Torbin cuts an astonishingly good figure.
Many fans really liked the fight scene. On Twitter, for example, there is a lot of praise for the character, but also for the choreography of the fight:

The fight was also praised on Reddit in the discussion about the latest episode. captainhemingway:
One thing you have to give him credit for is that he can swing a lightsaber.
And AnAngryBartender replies:
He was pretty good with it, to be honest. For a second he looked like Anakin when he swung the sword.

The similarity to the Jedi from the prequels is also @LightsaberJosh on Twitterwho is reminded of the turns of Obi-Wan and Anakin in one scene.
We don’t know whether The Acolyte is consciously inspired by the prequels. However, a reference to a Star Wars game was clearly hidden on purpose in the latest episode:
After the latest episode, all that remains is the season finale of The Acolyte, which will conclude the story next Wednesday, at least for now.
What exactly will happen to the twins, Sol and Qimir, cannot yet be predicted. However, there were already several hints in episode 6 about the appearance of a legendary Sith Lord. You can read more in the news above.
