The upcoming indie Metroidvania, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, will feature music composed by Manami Kiyota, one of the main composers for the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy – best known for her work on Satorl Marsh Night and Eryth Sea from the first Xenoblade Chronicles and its remasters. Developer Squid Shock Studios shared the news on the game’s Kickstarter page, and Kiyota posted on X to celebrate the collaboration.
Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is based on Japanese folklore and has several Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R) developers on its team. According to the Kickstarter campaign, the game is inspired by games such as Okami, Hollow Knight, Paper Mario, Dust Force and Celeste, as well as anime from Studio Ghibli – among others. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch in just a few days, on July 18.
