Fire ring and that Shadow of the Earth Tree DLCs are known for their tough bosses. Luckily, one clever developer has found a fun and rewarding way to use these baddies.
A mod released on NexusMods allows players to summon defeated bosses to the battlefield as allies. In other words, it’s time to send out the demigod Messmer as your personal Pokémon to defeat other bosses.
NexusMods user FlippantTunic22 created the mod and it is now available for everyone to download. You can download the full list on the sitebut it contains 11 bosses from the Shadow of the Earth Tree DLC. Highlights include the ability to summon Messmer the Impaler, the Golden Hippo, and the Divine Beast, the Dancing Lion.
YouTubers KanesGrace shared a video shows the summons in action. In the video, the creator attempts to defeat each boss by using other bosses as summons. Although KanesGrace must endure a tough battle against the Dancing Lion, the journey becomes easier afterward – once the Dancing Lion is obtained as a summon, this boss can defeat some of the other bosses in one hit. Other challenges, like one where KanesGrace summons Messmer against the Putrescent Knight, are more balanced thanks to the summoned boss’s stats.
