Crash Bandicoot 5 has been quietly canceled, or so new rumors say.
Crash Bandicoot is a million-seller, which was recently proven by Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, which broke the 20 million player mark.
A new Crash Bandicoot game should be as sure as day, right? But think again! According to the latest rumors, Crash Bandicoot 5 has been quietly canceled.
Nicholas Kole started the new rumors. He is an illustrator and artist who worked with Toys for Bob on Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. He published via X-Twitter a statement and said:
“GOOD. Our canceled project of the last 3 years is officially and truly dead as of today (internal attempts to save it have failed) and the embargo on all portfolio work has been lifted.
“RIP Project Dragon. Get ready for the biggest art bomb ever with works I loved.”
“Oh, damn, sorry guys – it’s not Spyro. I didn’t mean to give the fanbase a heart attack. ‘Dragon’ is our codename for the all-new IP we’ve been working on for over 3 years.”
2But I’m pretty sure that if you ever liked anything I’ve written, you would have *loved* this.”
“It’s not Spyro, but one day people will hear about the Crash 5 that never happened and it will break their hearts.”
