Huawei's current situation is complicated, but the company has shown that it does not want to give up. In this case, you have introduced high quality software networks, which we have been able to test very balanced, not too expensive, or too expensive. Do you Huawei P40 Pro.

For several days we used this phone as a unique device, without any inconvenience because of the software it was using. But now we're developing that it's not a desert trip or anything like that.

This mobile is not good, it's beautiful

If there is something everyone who has seen the Huawei P40 Pro agree with the color we are analyzing, it is matt gray that can reflect the light in a unique way, that is one of the best phone calls they've seen.

Huawei is focused on many efforts in the design phase of this device. We see this clearly in the rear section, made of stained glass on all four sides.

This piece pours into a very light silver color cycle frame and its contrast is exactly the same as the signal. On the front we have a mirror too, a quadruple curvature even though the sides are smaller on the curved edge and not the screen itself.

Besides, this low makes it much more comfortable to use touch sensors than a normal cell phone. The frames are very compact and it seems that the top and bottom ends are symmetrical. Of course, the redesign of the front camera is really great, though considering all that includes the fact that we don't have a notch, it doesn't look like anything wrong.

At the top we have the sound of canceling the microphone and the black emitter. The left part is completely free of elements and the right part has a volume button, which is unique and includes both the top and bottom volume, and the power button in red thread.

At the bottom we have a USB C port, main microphone, dual SIM slot or SIM and Nano SD and speaker speaker only. This is probably one of the biggest flaws of mobile and the fact that almost all of its competitors already have two speakers, some of the same power.

Some have a bigger speaker like this one with a second and second earphone, something that could not happen in this case because the noise is below the screen, as is the case with the Huawei P30 Pro.

Good performance, but not too surprising

Huawei has said several times that its Huawei P Series centers on two things, design and graphics. That doesn't mean you don't mind working and communication, but we're seeing a huge jump in what we can test on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

This P40 Pro uses the latest product processor, Kirin 990, in its 5G chip mode. As we mentioned in the connection, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory are few. These are the figures that deserve the highest grade, but now we're starting to see more than one and two models that are already betting on 12 GB of RAM and a TB portion of internal storage. Again, it's not necessary, but if you ask 1000 euros for a cellphone this is the kind of thing that other users think.

The performance of this model reminded us of much of the preceding, great, although we don't have that feeling of speed and speed we've seen in other phones with the Snapdragon 865, such as the OPPO Find X2 Pro we just reviewed.

The feeling is exactly the same as we said about the memories. Yes, we've worked very well, we've never had a problem with any app, all games run smoothly and open quickly. But it is not the most powerful cell phone we have tested.

As far as connectivity is concerned, of course, we have had no complaint since 5G as we mentioned, and on Wi-Fi 6+, NFC and infrared emitter and memory expansion slot. Of course, although we didn't expect to see it, we must remember that the conclusions in this section were long ago no headphone jack.

Huawei doesn't charge at 120 Hz

We include what is probably one of the most controversial features of the Huawei P40 Pro, the screen. We cannot say that this model has a bad panel, that it is bad or that it has failed.

However, when a product asks for 999 euros for a mobile phone, we users have to put ourselves in the most demanding position. I say this because it is possible in 2020 Huawei has finally hit the 90Hz refresh rate, many rivals have opted for 120 Hz, and having this company have its own reputation (it deserves more, as we'll see later), is likely to make this level at this level.

The same goes with the solution. Huawei still doesn't use 2K panels, which companies like OPPO have shown are no longer a performance issue or a battery.

It is possible that the Kirin 990 cannot cope with these two aspects which is why they have not been used, but we cannot know for sure.

Using the P40 Pro reminded us of the P30 Pro. The screen looks good, it responds very quickly, the brightness is adequate but it is not eye-catching and we have a lot of editing options in the settings.

Quadruple curvature is especially comfortable when using body touch, although I can see that some applications, such as keyboards, are less compatible with their use in spherical columns and seem to cut some buttons. This is not a problem for normal use, but it is true that it is a little shocking.

Huawei P40 Pro beats the best P30 Pro cameras

Photography is one of the two most important aspects of this deadly, as mentioned in the article. And it's no small task. Huawei uses this family to show what it is capable of in this case, and eventually moves it to other models.

This Huawei P40 Pro is not that high in the catalog as the P40 Pro Plus has a 10x zoom sound, something we have never seen on any mobile device. Alternatively, in terms of quality price it might be that this P40 Pro makes sense. These are the four lenses you have in the back area.

  • The 50 Mpx UltraVision is a great sensor, f / 1.9 for maximum stability.
  • 40 Mpx video sensor with wide angle.
  • 5x SuperSensing 12 Mpx telephoto lens.
  • Back ToF sensor

The the primary sensor It has 50 Mpx, even though we automatically shoot at 12.5 Mpx, to improve the performance of low light areas or night images.

We have done many experiments with this sensor and the general feeling it gives us is that it can strike a balance between realistic photography and photography. HDR, dynamic range or color accuracy gives us the feeling that it has improved a lot compared to other terminants of the same product. The speed of focus, the speed of shooting, everything works well enough that you don't think about it.

The wide range Achieved as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and offers high resolution and high sharpness. We took a look at several photos (you have them all in the gallery) if there were any small details on the sides, or if there was some corruption, but that's not it.

What we've seen is that the angle isn't as compelling as the Samsung S20 Ultra's, it looks a lot like the OPPO Find X2 Pro.

Granted, it doesn't have the same range or definition for the main sensor, but it is undoubtedly one of the best sensors of this type that we tested.

We are very much attacked by the lack of a great mode in cell phones. We weren't expecting a dedicated sensor but surprisingly there is no choice in the camera app. It's not a complaint, we don't know anyone who uses this mode, but maybe in a forum focused on photos it would be something we should apply.

The third sensor is a telephoto which uses a prismatic lens system to detect a 5x zoom, which can achieve 10x hybrid and 50x digitally.

This time Huawei used its RYYB matrix, dramatically improving the performance of this light and light sensor compared to the Huawei P30 Pro.

Of course, if we look at the pictures taken with some kind of zoom we will see that the behavior of the headlights is a lot worse than what we have when using a large sensor. Besides, the lack of grain, the good work on the details of the posters or the existing lighting make us love, much more, the performance of this new zoom sensor.

The biggest drawback we see in terms of the Huawei P40 Pro is that the default color temperature is warmer than what we get from the main action, something we believe can be remedied by the software without being too complicated.

The videography It is another improvement over this family model from last year. Using the Mate 30 Pro sensor, the installer is able to record high quality, better stability and allow up to 15x zoom in video recording.

Video resilience attracts a lot of attention and you have several clips within the gallery. Imagine how difficult it is to keep a pigeon's frame moving randomly on a completely empty platform. Well, it was surprisingly easy.

This video recording can reach 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, however we don't have an 8K recording option. To be honest, it's something we say because there are already models, but it seems completely absurd to us by 2020.

When the video got worse during the night filming. This picture goes like so many other times with the other terminals and the quality is far from the same as being received in good light. This happens when the incident is not bright because when we record the road with traffic lights and other lighting the effect gets better.

We also see a huge jump front camera. Not so much with its 32 Mpx sensor, but with the process used to support it. We have a second infrared camera that will allow for a natural blur on selfies.

In addition, we can now do 4K video recording with the front camera, which greatly improves what we could find on last year's model.

Both the P30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro certainly have some of my favorite cameras in 2019 and I have to admit that this P40 Pro is a hit.

It is noteworthy that Huawei has greatly improved its facial recognition and software for the treatment of things such as skin or hair. To say yes, we automatically activate beauty mode so if you don't want an image for something that is not better then you can turn it off.

Aside from this, of course, at night the camera slows down a bit and, despite not much noise or imagery, the detail is very low. This is a great upgrade for the video, with great shooting and almost no detail.

Yes, the video recording of the previous day's camera on huawei mobiles is still the best I've seen. It's got great detail, good HDR and the stability is so good that it's scary.

Huawei has been heavily rewarded for two years in the photographic part of its P series. From P10 to P20 we saw a surprising change, the same as we saw from P20 to P30. This time is not subject to the same change, which does not mean that there is no difference from the previous generation. In fact, the fact that there is little change is a good sign, because it means that we are starting to get closer to the point where it is difficult to make progress.

Independence is always a hidden star

The battery is one of the wonders of the Huawei P30 Pro and the P40 Pro has maintained that level. we have a 4200 mAh battery, with a 40W fast charging and an amazingly attractive new 40Wsha. Of course, we could not test it because we do not have a charger compatible with this. We tested it with two chargers, 10 and 15 W respectively, and this is still another big success for the company, without much.

In battery tests we've played a lot, we've used social apps and we've been taking some pictures, in a limited way, to check how effective your camera is. We also made video calls. The screen is built with 90 Hz and FHD resolution.

Understandably, consumption was very much in-house due to the isolation of people in Spain. We achieved 6 hours of battery with almost 40 hours of total autonomy.

These figures are very similar to the ones we got last year on the P30 Pro, and on the big day we'll get seven or eight hours of screen time, depending on the brightness of the screen and the type of apps used.

EMUI 10.1 removes errors, but we don't have any Google apps yet

It would be impossible not to mention the lack of Google services and services every time we analyze a terminal. That's why I decided to make a video in which I explained that my daily life with the Huawei signal without these apps had been for a week.

In this case the same feeling, except for one. Since I needed an email, I created three of my accounts in an email program with a pre-installed terminal. I might choose one, but this one comes standard and it works. If you have one of these types of Huawei besides Google apps, you can also use the App.

Leaving that aside, EMUI 10.1 brings good news, and some not so much. Among the first is the new multitasking management, which we can test on Huawei Mate Xs, with a barrel that comes off as we move from side to side for a long time. There, we can restrict access to the apps we use most.

In addition, in multitasking we will see a new icon in other windows, in square. This means we can set it as a float on the screen.

There are also software upgrades to the camera app, such as one that allows us to remove the light from photos or remove people we don't want to appear, and get them out by mistake.

On the negative side, we have to highlight the changing of the program if we have the Do Not Disturb mode activated it will be left indefinitely in the notification curtain. I know it's something that affects a few people, but many of us use this mode all the time, and this saves us unused space for other things.

There are also new features in mobile and PC communication, such as the possibility of handling phones and video calls when we have a Huawei computer, but we are not testing this.

Huawei P40 Pro: fate

Huawei signal analysis keeps us in shape leave you compared to the previous model, at least a year.

The absence of Google's app and its services makes it difficult to recommend an end to this company given the large existing market. More than a few competitors are trying to squeeze sales through the elimination of one of the world's largest manufacturers.

That said, I found people using Android centers in Spain without using Google services. True, they will be small, but if you consider myself to stay a week and not use it without further prejudice, I think this might not be released immediately.

Besides software, the Huawei P40 Pro still has room for improvement. Existing speaker is a device for this price. Functionality, very good, is no different from competing mobiles. The same thing happens with the screen, which is better than last year, but which can reach that level of the best calls from other companies.

This is a cellphone listed on the two features that Huawei wants to display: design and photos. As for the first one, we are dealing with a very comfortable cellphone in hand, not too big and in a weight limit that should not be overdone. And finishing back is an eye-opener and we hope it will be copied. And personally, I also hope it's a foregone conclusion to the quadruple curvature.

In the photography category we are undoubtedly facing one of the best phone calls of the year. Yes, Google is always better at image processing, and Apple's video is harder to match. But I was impressed that Huawei was able to upgrade the P30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro. And that you did it again on one mobile.
