Today is a big day for Diablo IV players around the world. The action-RPG’s first new class since its release last year will be released this October with the Ships of Hatred expansion. It’s called the Eccentric, and it’s a completely new class to the series.
All of this is reason enough to show off the new class in more detail, which is exactly what Blizzard did today during a dedicated showcase.

Today’s Evilborn livestream will show off the first gameplay, which is indeed the long-awaited one. Diablo 4 has no shortage of classes, but anyone who has played it will tell you that it really needs some fresh content, and there will be a new class only matter.
The presentation will also take a closer look at the creation of the Spiritborn, including design philosophy, lore, art, and how the class ties into the jungle setting of Nahantu, a new zone in Ship of Hatred.
The show will be live streamed on the official Diablo channels on Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter. The show begins today 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UK. We’ve embedded the Twitch player below.
Ship of Hatred will arrive on October 8th, alongside Season 6. As a result, the next season of Diablo IV, Season 5, will be shorter than the game’s previous seasons. In case you missed it, here’s what Season 5 will bring to Diablo IV.
