There’s finally a Starfield mod that lets you hang out in Star Wars’ iconic Mos Eisley Cantina, alone or with your crew

Cantina, Crew, Eisley, finally, hang, iconic, lets, Mod, Mos, Star, Starfield, Wars

This seems to have taken a little longer than we initially expected, but there’s finally a Starfield mod that adds the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars to the game as a full-fledged location where you can hang out between those new bounty missions.

While modders have had to spend a lot of time waiting for the game’s Creation Kit to be released (which finally came out last month), there have been a ton of works that have helped people turn the game into a Star Wars game, something that was bound to be aspirational the moment it was announced. While all the ship replicas and lightsabers are nice and all, hopefully the mods I’m about to tell you about will truly take roleplaying in a galaxy far, far away to the next level, even with Star Wars: Outlaws on the horizon.

As far as I can tell, Kaffeinaa’s “Mos Eisleys Cantina (Akila)” (also available in the Xbox version) is the modder’s first attempt at recreating the in-game location where Greedo first shoots Han Solo. Well, that depends on whether you count the bar band tunes playing on the jukebox in The Rock bar so that the Freestar Rangers can enjoy them.

While it may not include all the details that hardcore gamers would want, as it was made using “a collection of discarded models from Starfield” rather than custom models, this version of the cantina definitely looks presentable, with the bar, surrounding booths, and overall architecture doing a good job of capturing the aesthetic and vibe of Mos Eisley. That being said, this is just an interior, the exterior of the cantina is just a regular building in Akira City.

If you want to take a look, you can check out the video above. [aren’t] Currently, there are no special features added here, you can pick up crews and clear your bounties,” Kaffeinaa wrote, “I hope to add a bounty terminal in the future, a stable bartender [who] Selling ‘interesting’ stuff, and a better chance of finding a wanted criminal here. “

They added that you might still run into some minor issues like NPCs standing on things, the Star Wars soundtrack they added to the place only playing in certain areas, and some chairs being reserved for NPCs, but considering how much effort they put into this, I guess these are negligible drawbacks.

So, there you have it. If you’re interested in reading about an ambitious Starfield mod that we now know won’t become a reality, be sure to check out our report on a project that apparently aims to build an entire Elder Scrolls planet.
