Smart rings are making headlines around the world, and if you want to get in on the buzz, the flagship model is on sale in the US for the first time.
The Oura Ring Gen 3 is now available start ing at $282 on Amazon, down from its usual price of $349. It comes in a black colorway and Horizon (circular) shape, though other hues like silver, gold, and brushed titanium are also offering discounts of up to 19%.
This deal won’t last long, as it’s part of the Amazon Prime Day sale, which ends tonight at 11:59 p.m.. You must be a Prime member to get the discount, but new members can get a 30-day trial. With that, you get free and fast shipping, as well as access to Prime Video.
If you don’t have Prime, Best Buy is also offering a generous $50 savings on the Oura Ring.
If you want something simple, discreet and that doesn’t distract you with notifications, then this is ideal. It has a battery life of up to a week, can track your steps, heart rate and sleep. Plus, it will fit into any outfit, unlike a bulky smartwatch.
There’s a catch: To use these features, you’ll need to pay for an Oura subscription, which will cost you an extra $5.99 per month.
If that’s a problem for you, there’s another smart ring hitting stores next week. Samsung’s Galaxy Ring has a higher initial cost of $399, but doesn’t come with any subscription plans. Plus, it’s brand new, unlike the Oura, which launched three years ago.
