The filming of movies and series is full of anecdotes of all kinds, from funny and entertaining ones to tragic accidents. We recently told you about a good example: Mission Impossible: Fallout had to call in a stuntman or expert to shoot one of the most demanding scenes because no one wanted to take on Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise.
Now that Deadpool and Wolverine are just around the corner, why not look back at Hugh Jackman’s past for some trivia about his origins as the mutant? And we’ve found some tidbits. It turns out the Australian actor took his role very seriously to the point of bringing home his claws to practice his stunts.

It was in 2009 that Jackman granted a entrevista al programa Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. There he admitted that he cut himself several times with the somewhat sharp metal claws that they used on the set while he was training and that he also stabbed Mystique’s stunt double in X-Men 2000: “There was a hole and about a minute later it was like a geyser.” He has repeated this anecdote over the years.
They were metal claws and really sharp. And I used to practice at home by myself. I practiced and practiced. I even went so far as to stab myself in the thighs. I still have the scars. And in that particular scene, she’s trying to reach for something and I’m going to stab her… but she forgot to move her arm and I just stuck my claws in her so deep. He says he turned pale when he saw him stab Mystique’s stunt double in the arm with his Wolverine claws. Blood was pouring out of her hand like a fountain. However, he was the only one who was worried. She raised her arm and said: “Wolverine stabbed me!” It was like an honour for her, although Jackman got quite a scare. Has this happened to her again with Ryan Reynolds?
