between bad and good news for the big patch

Bad, Big, Good, news, patch

Baldur’s Gate 3’s huge and highly anticipated Patch 7 is the subject of bad news from Larian Studios, but it once again serves a good cause.

To get a taste of what’s coming to Baldur’s Gate 3, Patch 7 was supposed to be released earlier this week in the form of a closed beta. But Larian Studios seems to have missed a perception roll, forcing them to delay their deployment. However, the lucky Belgians are doing their best to show us in more detail what this huge update contains.

Perception roll failed for Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Closed Beta

Remember that Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 7 will be officially released in September and, in particular, will include all the modding tools so that the community can create their craziest creations. Until then, some content of this massive update will soon be eligible for a closed beta. This early version should have been released yesterday evening.

However, regarding this unfortunate but understandable setback, Larian Studios had this to say: “ We were honored when we tried to fix bugs. If you hunt one somewhere, another can pop up somewhere else. This happened with a bug fix for Patch 7 that caused passive dice rolls to stop working. We are trying to fix the problem as quickly as possible and will therefore be releasing the closed beta of this update later this week ».

In addition to the modding tools, Patch 7 will notably introduce to Baldur’s Gate 3 new cinematics for the most evil players, improvements to split screen, additions to Honor Mode, the game’s ultimate difficulty, over 1,000 bug fixes and improvements, etc. Finally… clearer soap consumption. Because cleanliness is important in the Forgotten Realms. You will find all this in detail (albeit with risks). SPOILER) on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam page, cited in the source below.

Facing bad luck with a good heart

When people say Closed Beta for Patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3, they inevitably point out that registration is required to benefit from it. Larian Studios specifies: ” On the positive side, this gives you more time to sign up and join the beta. You can do this for a random chance by visiting the game’s Steam page “. For the most patient players, Patch 7 will likely arrive next September with as few bugs as possible. And it won’t be the last one, as Larian has previously hinted.
