Bridgerton season 4 is almost here, and Netflix has revealed today which of its many attractive cast members will be hitting the marriage market.
We’ve known that Bridgerton would be returning for a fourth season since 2021, when the show was renewed for seasons three and four, but it was unclear who would be the Bachelor or Bachelorette. Season three focused on the stories of Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton and Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington, but like every season before it, each subsequent season has focused on a new member of the Bridgerton family, keeping fans of the show guessing and hoping for their favorite members. Earlier today, through a short trailer and announcement on Tudum, the streaming service confirmed that Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton would be the focus of season four.

“That’s right, the man who once mooed in the corner of the ballroom is about to become the focus of matchmaking central as he searches for a mysterious woman called ‘The Lady in Silver’,” Tudum explains. “As the synopsis states, season four ‘turns the spotlight on bohemian middle son Benedict. Although his older and younger brothers are happily married, Benedict is reluctant to settle down.’ Until an alluring woman known as ‘The Lady in Silver’ catches Benedict’s eye at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin (Luke Newton) must be proud.”
Show producer Jess Brownwell also said she was “very excited” to tell Benedict’s story next, continuing: “It’s important for him to explore the wholeness of himself before he settles down. He’s a man with a big appetite and we want to see him live a great life before he goes into settling mode.”

Thompson also gave his thoughts on what’s to come for his character, saying: “Benedict has been a little bit lost – or a little bit free, depending on how you want to look at it. But now he’s trying to find something more solid within himself.” You can check out the trailer above, which doesn’t show a whole lot, but it does show Thompson with next season’s script in his hands and someone offering him a new outfit for the masquerade.
Bridgerton Season 4 does not have a release date yet, but once it is available on Netflix, it will have 8 episodes.
