The long-awaited Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a success in both sales and fan reviews, but it does not mean it is without its flaws.
Fans have been finding some bugs with this installment, and the most recent one has to do with invited villagers. The fans in Bell tree They have found that by "adopting" a villager who was previously thrown off an island, the piece of parcel to which he would move may be closed without being able to do anything about it.
You can find an explanation below:
When you adopt a villager who was kicked out by another player through CAMPGROUNDS (either amiibo or random camper), the area the villager will occupy may be bugged and will simply indicate "New Home". You CANNOT place more new parcels if this happens and the actual villager will not move.
For example. My friend has 10 villagers and one of them is SKYE. He then scans t he card of another villager (for example, Sterling) and convinces him to come for several days. On the third day, to accommodate Sterling, he chooses to Eject SKYE, putting her "with the boxes" (prepares her to move out). Later, I, who loves her, come and ADOPT SKYE (asks her to move to her island). The parcel on my island where Skye is supposed to move can bug.
Villagers who decide to move out on their own (they come and tell you through an exclamation or a thought bubble) are sure to adopt even if they originally came via amiibo. What determines the failure is the way they go out.
Also, just to clarify. Villagers obtained through amiibo from your camp directly to your own parcels are 100% safe for you, the owner of the amiibo. When you must be careful is when adopting.
PSA: there’s a pretty bad bug in ACNH that hasn’t been patched yet. If a friend has a villager "in boxes" because they've been forced out via campsite visitor, DO NOT adopt them. Could result in a glitched spot.
