The popular fantasy battle royale mode returns to PUBG: Battlegrounds for two weeks.
KRAFTON has announced the return of Fantasy Battle Royale mode in PUBG: Battlegrounds. It will be available from July 24 to August 7 on PC and from July 31 to August 14 on consoles.
First introduced in 2020 as an April Fools’ joke, the mode offers players a unique battle royale experience with four classes: Barbarian, Ranger, Wizard, and Paladin. Players compete on Dragon Island (Erangel) in groups of four with up to 80 players per match.
The Barbarian excels in close combat with the longsword, the Ranger specializes in long-range attacks with the Dragon Slayer Crossbow, the Wizard can rain fire on groups of enemies, and the Paladin supports the team by healing allies.
Additionally, the recently released Update 30.2 reintroduces items like the Tactical Pack and EMT Gear, which are now assigned to primary weapon slots with enhanced functionality.
The Tactical Pack offers more slots for attachments and the EMT Gear reduces the usage time for healing items and increases the speed at which teammates are revived. The All-In-One Repair Kit can now even be used three times, taking up the secondary weapon slot. These items now spawn on all maps.
Additional updates include special items as part of the collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini, improvements to vehicle customization, the Flare Gun in Deston, and adjusted spawn rates for the Emergency Pickup in Miramar and Rondo. General bug fixes have also been implemented for the map, improving performance, collision detection, and textures.
