Get ready for one last round of failure, because the premiere date for the final season of Vampire Life has been confirmed

I hope you’re ready to suck blood, tuck your shirt in, and have a whole lot of — well, you know, because Season 6 of This Vampire Life is just a few months away.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, even if you don’t always want them to. But unfortunately, that’s the case with the beloved comedy-doc series What We Do, which will wrap up its sixth and final season later this year. And when I say later this year, I mean in three months, as FX has finally confirmed a premiere date for the final season: October 21. Obviously, the show is perfect for this season, as Halloween is right around the corner, and apparently it’s going to air three episodes right at the start (pun intended).

After that, the series will be released weekly, with a total of 11 episodes, with each episode available on Hulu the next day. Sorry for international fans, though, as there doesn’t seem to be a confirmed international release date yet, but as soon as the series is released in other territories, they will be available on Disney+.

The official description for season six explains what the cast will be doing this time around: “After briefly becoming a vampire, Guillermo (Javi Guillén) begins to reevaluate his life. Who is he? Is he a familiar who will do anything to please his master in hopes of one day becoming a vampire? Meanwhile, the vampires are reevaluating as well. When their former roommates reappear after a 50-year slumber, they realize how little they’ve accomplished in half a century – not achieving a goal, not pursuing a dream, not conquering any part of the new world (except their street and a portion of Ashley Street).”

San Diego Comic-Con attendees may also be interested in an upcoming panel about the show, featuring stars like Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal, as well as executive producer/writer Paul Simms and executive producer/director Kyle Newacheck — you can catch the panel tomorrow, July 25, from 3:30-4:30 PM PT in Hall H, where a trailer for the new episode will also be shown.
