The luxury caravan Kabe Tower 880 has two floors, a balcony and a sun terrace! But the journey to the campsite could be difficult for several reasons.
- The Kabe Tower 880 from 2017 is one of the largest caravans in the world.
- This is a special model from the manufacturer.
- The huge caravan has two floors.
Whether it’s the first mobile home with an elevator, an aircraft turbine converted into a caravan or cute bicycle caravans: the camping world is always good for breaking records. This is especially true for the Kabe Tower caravan.

In 2024, the Imperial 1000 TDL with eight beds and 22 square meters of living space will be the current flagship in the Swedish premium manufacturer’s range. Kabe has an even more impressive “house on wheels” in the company yard with the “Tower” model.
Even though the Kabe Tower 880 was introduced in 2017 to mark Kabe’s 60th anniversary, it has lost none of its fascination in 2024. Just imagine arriving at your favorite campsite with such a projectile! How small the recently introduced Goliath G-47 off-road caravan must seem in comparison!
The Kabe Tower, which is over four metres high and ten metres long, is a tiny house on wheels and is not approved for road traffic. When you enter, the first thing you will see is the kitchen, which has the basic amenities of an oven and microwave.
But all the technology becomes just a decorative accessory as soon as you climb the stairs to the top floor. This is where the Kabe caravan finally shows off its exotic best side.
Here you can sit down on comfortable lounge chairs and wait for the sunset. With a glass in your hand, step out onto the sun terrace with its wooden floor at a lofty height and toast the amazed onlookers who will soon gather in front of the curious caravan. You should not suffer from vertigo. If it rains or the sun shines too brightly, a roof can be installed in no time at all.
Surround sound system, hot water heating and air conditioning are also on the equipment list of the caravan, which costs 150,000 dollars (as of 2017). Incidentally, unlike some of its predecessors, the 2017 model was never mass-produced – probably because it does not fit under all bridges and requires a powerful towing vehicle. In the video embedded above, you can see how grotesque the giant caravan looks on a public road. You can find the latest innovations from the mobile home and camping sector in the linked overview.
