Hunt: Showdown 1896 is the new title developed by Crytek. This new game will replace the original PS4 and Xbox One game, which will no longer be available for these platforms. In this case, this “new chapter” or sequel to the saga will be a new extraction shooter.
This game will use Cryengine in version 5.11, which will allow you to enjoy the title at 60 fps and 4K resolution on PS5 and Xbox Series X and at 2K and 60 fps on the smallest of the Xbox family of consoles. All this accompanied by a great technical deployment in terms of lighting quality, shading, audio and texture, among other aspects.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 comes with content
As if that were not enough, once the game is released, it will gradually receive new content from its predecessor in the form of remastered maps to further expand the gameplay possibilities. If you have any questions, here we leave you all the information available about this sequel:
In the next chapter of Hunt, players will be able to take part in an all-new experience as we move forward chronologically and head from the western backwaters of the Bayou to the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The first map, Mammon’s Gulch, introduces a vast and detailed new biome that takes hunters into the shadows of Colorado’s mighty mountains. Adding an element of heightened verticality and a series of new tactical vantage points, the peaks loom over the region like sentinels. But hidden beneath the lush forests and towering peaks, corruption simmers in the mines and oil wells beneath the surface.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 brings the power of CRYENGINE 5.11 with long-awaited improvements to the entire gameplay experience. With significantly improved graphics, audio design, performance and much more.
For now, that’s all the information available on this highly anticipated sequel. What did you think of the first installment? Will you be playing its sequel? Hunt: Showdown 1896 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on August 15th of this year. As always, if you want to know more about news like this, be sure to stop by your home, here in the Xbox space.
