The Mega multiplayer festival offers a variety of activities throughout the month of August and into early September, including discounts on hundreds of multiplayer games for Nintendo Switchadditional benefits for Nintendo Switch Online members and additional ways to earn gold and platinum points. The Multiplayer Festival starts on Thursday, the 1stSt August at 10:00 CEST, and ends on Sunday, 8th September at 23:59 CEST.
Starting at the start of the Mega Multiplayer Festival, users can get an additional two-month Nintendo Switch Online membership at no extra cost when they purchase any 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership on the Nintendo eShop or I Nintendo Store.
From Monday, 5th August at 10:00 CEST until Sunday, 18th August, bonus gold points are available for purchases of select Nintendo Switch games on the Nintendo eShop and I Nintendo Store. Users can apply them to their next Nintendo eShop purchase by redeeming them at checkout. Nintendo Switch Online members can earn 20% Gold Points and non-members can earn 10% Gold Points.
Tryouts will begin next week. Nintendo Switch Online members will be able to play four full multiplayer titles for free starting August 19th until August 25th. These games will also be available for purchase at a discount during the game’s trial period.
Multiplayer Mega Sale from Monday 26thth August at 15:00 CEST until Sunday, 8th September at 23:59 BST offers discounts on hundreds of multiplayer games on the Nintendo eShop, including co-operative, party and online titles.
Additionally, starting Monday, August 5ththplaying any Nintendo Switch game with online play gives users the chance to earn an additional 30 Platinum Points each week for up to 150 additional Platinum Points by the 8th.th September at 23:59 BST.
Finally, many I Nintendo rewards associated with multiplayer games are already available in the I Nintendo Store, including sticker sets, posters and more – redeemable by using Platinum Points.
