You shouldn’t get your hopes up that Dragon Age: Keeper of the Veil will be released before October, as EA says that’s the earliest it could be released.
It’s been 10 years since BioWare’s last Dragon Age game, Inquisition, and fans have eagerly awaited a sequel, with only the poorly reviewed Mass Effect: Andromeda and the even worse-reviewed Anthem filling the void for those willing to play anything the developer makes. Dragon Age 4, later renamed Dragon Age: Dread Wolf and more recently Wardens of the Veil, has been on the horizon since at least 2018. But that still begs the question: when exactly is it coming out? According to BioWare, it should be out sometime in the “fall,” which would be around the end of September, but as spotted by Eurogamer, it doesn’t look like the game will be out before October 1.

That’s according to EA themselves, with the publisher currently listing the upcoming sequel RPG as a fiscal third quarter release. For context, EA’s fiscal first quarter of this year ended on June 30th, and its fiscal second quarter ended on September 30th. Basically, assuming there aren’t any delays (which wouldn’t be surprising in this day and age), you can probably expect it to release somewhere between October and November. Sure, that’s not an exact release date, but it’s better than nothing, right? Plus, you’ll find out exactly when it’s coming out soon enough.
Recently, after the game panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the Dragon Age community team published a blog post saying that they will “have more to share next month, including a new roadmap, more gameplay, and our official release date.” This post was published at the end of July, so “next month” means August, which is the month we are currently in, which means the release date is still a few weeks away. I believe you can still wait a little longer!
