“House of the Dragon” season 2 is already over after eight episodes. Now fans have to wait for season 3. We have all the information about the second season!
The second season of “House of the Dragon” goes all out and offers us dragon fights and exciting intrigues, as we are used to from “Game of Thrones”. The GoT spin-off tells the story of the Targaryen civil war in which Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) fight for the throne.
While the first season consisted of 10 episodes, “House of the Dragon” season 2 comes to an end after just eight episodes. After the cliffhanger finale, fans will be happy that “House of the Dragon” season 3 has recently been confirmed.
When do the new “House of the Dragon” episodes start?
A start date for “House of the Dragon” season 3 has not yet been set. However, we should not expect any new episodes before 2026. However, a new “Game of Thrones” spin-off will sweeten the wait in 2025: “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”.
House of the Dragon Season 2: Plot
There are no particularly cheerful hours to look forward to in “House of the Dragon” Season 2, because the war has begun. Aegon II Targaryen sits on the throne in King’s Landing that actually belongs to Rhaenyra Targaryen, who has meanwhile been crowned Queen of Westeros on Dragonstone and is now planning her revenge.
She relies more on her dragons, but the Hightowers also have winged support and, with Vhagar, even the largest of all dragons on their side.
