There could be a hint about Half-Life 3 that gives fans hope. We’ll tell you what Project “White Sands” is all about.

Fans have been hoping for Half-Life 3 for a long time and another hint has surfaced suggesting that Valve is already working on a sequel and, more importantly, that the development of the shooter is already well advanced.

As Reddit users costin88boss shows, there was an entry on actress Natasha Chandel’s website revealing that she was involved as a voice actor in a video game developed by Valve.

“Project White Sands” was listed, but the role has not yet been named. The entry can now only be accessed via the Wayback Machine, as it has apparently been removed.

But not only Valve as the producing company is supposed to be a reference to Half-Life 3, but also the project name itself. As Reddit users Ploid_Kerensky writes, there is a US Army testing ground in New Mexico called White Sands Missile Range.

In Half-Life itself, Black Mesa is also located in the New Mexico desert. Whether this is really a hint of a sequel to the Half-Life series remains unclear.

As Reddit user costin88boss writes, the title behind the project name White Sands should already be in the final stages of development and there is no trailer or teaser yet. The Reddit user himself suspects a trailer in early or mid-2025.

Regardless of whether it is really Half-Life 3, Valve could already release a teaser or trailer for “White Sands” to coincide with the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2024.
