Maybe it's because of the long wait, but Mount & Blade 2 causes unusual events a few minutes after its release. On Steam, many players currently have to deal with a bitchy shopping cart.
As numerous posts on Reddit as well as some comments under GameStar articles can be found, many players can currently play the role playing partout do not add to your cart. Probably because so many players have been waiting for this moment.
Can you work around the problem?
There are several ways to avoid this bug. A few users could buy Mount & Blade 2 on Steam in different ways despite the release chaos. Here's how they did it:
- The first trick is the game add to your wishlist first. Then you can go to the wish list and add Mount & Blade 2 directly from there to your shopping cart.
- Another user suggests Use Steam not on the desktop but on the mobile phone. At least via the Android app, there should be a greater chance of success.
The developers are now also aware of the problem. On Twitter, they announced that they were viewing the problem. But they also strongly assume that they are simply dealing with a very large number of players.
We are aware of the issues with the Steam store and the website. Apparently, it's just a momentary overload – but we're looking into it.
