Hardly any other game has made the jump from release to free on Epic so quickly. Just two days after release, you can grab CYGNI – All Guns Blazing for free, along with the beat’em-up DNF Duel and a new hero for Apex Legends.
It’s not as if CYGNI is one of those cheap junk items that you can only get rid of for free. My colleague Sascha was able to test the game and absolutely recommends buying it to all shoot-’em-up fans. Or better yet, a free pick-up recommendation. He has a lot of praise for the great graphics, the varied levels and the easy-to-understand energy distribution system for weapons and shields.
If you prefer beat’em-ups to shoot’em-ups, you might like Epic’s second free game this week. DNF Duel is the fighting spin-off of Dungeon and Fighter, one of the most famous and most played RPGs in the world. There are 16 characters to choose from, whose skills you already know from the RPG. So if you’ve always wanted to beat others up as a berserker, grappler, kunoichi or ghostblade, then DNF Duel is exactly your thing.
And as if two games weren’t enough, Epic is adding another one and giving away the Conduit unlock bundle for Apex Legends. Get the shield healer Conduit as a new hero and enjoy the epic Flatline skin “Aqua Flow”.

CYGNI – All Guns Blazing, DNF Duel and the content for Apex Legends will be available for free for one week starting Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 5 p.m. from Epic Games.
