Apple may release iOS 17.6.1 and iPadOS 17.6.1 very soon

A new rumor seems to turn this idea on its head.

A user of the social network X closely linked to other leaks regarding software updates and betas of all Apple operating systems has assured that Apple is already working on iOS 17.6.1 and iPadOS 17.6.1, some releases that were never expected before the launch of iOS 18. And its launch is said to be imminent without prior betas, before September.

Meanwhile, US media outlet MacRumors confirmed the leak, claiming to have detected traffic from devices browsing its website with these operating systems that have not yet been officially launched.

In fact, if we look at the updates released last year with iOS 16, iOS 16.6.1 only arrived in September. So this would be an anomaly in what Apple has accustomed us to. Apparently, These would be minor updates with bug fixes and security flaws as well as performance improvements, since Apple has all its attention focused on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
