The Occultistis a psychological horror game based on a first-person narrative. It will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2025, publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer DALOAR have announced.
In the game, paranormal investigator Alan Rebels travels to the mysterious island of GodStone to determine the cause of his father’s sudden disappearance.. Although he has mentioned the island many times over the decades, the only thing Alan really knows is that his father was born and raised there.
However, Alan does not travel alone. He carries with him his mystical pendulum, an object of unknown origin that has accompanied him in all his past paranormal investigations. You will explore the foggy streets and buildings, seemingly the only things left on the mysterious island of GodStone.
GodStone was inhabited until 1950 by a dark and macabre cult that carried out disturbing experiments and cruel rituals. Since then, no one has set foot on the island, until today. Using his paranormal talents, Alan must interact with the sinister souls that always seem to be on the streets and avoid them at all costs if they become angry.
As a paranormal investigator, none of this is new to Alan Rebels. However, the mysterious GodStone and his search for answers to his father’s disappearance put Alan’s abilities to the test. More than any previous investigation, GodStone shatters Alan’s beliefs about what’s possible in the world of the occult. Perhaps GodStone hides a curse that can be reversed…but should it be?
