Earlier this year, Prime Video renewed a series that was born out of a real phenomenon. The new season is revealed in an official trailer.
In order to provide its catalog with some regularity, the video streaming platform Prime Video must take advantage of all the opportunities that arise. And this is all the more important because not all programs will necessarily return and some will end sooner or later. This is the case with “The Boys”, whose crazy adventure will end with the fifth season in 2026. However, another hit series based on a successful franchise is likely to last for some time.

Like Netflix, Disney+ and Max, Amazon Prime Video is trying to diversify the types of content it offers. Like these platforms, there are films, series, shows, documentaries and even sports. The SVOD service, for example, closed a $76 billion deal to secure the rights to the NBA for 11 years. A nice big catch that could well shake the discipline addicts. This summer, Tolkien fans will be able to watch the highly anticipated second season of Rings of Power, one of the most expensive series in history.
Last May, Prime Video also announced the strong return of The Legend of Vox Machina for a third season. It’s basically a web series starring professional actors, including Laura Bailey and Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), playing Dungeons and Dragons. Then one thing led to another: an animated series project was launched on Kickstarter and was a huge success. In just 45 minutes, $750,000 was raised. The final total reached $11 million and the machine was on its way. It’s the fifth largest Kickstarter campaign of all time.
Given this enthusiasm, Amazon Prime Video bought the series The Legend of Vox Machina and gave it a second season and twelve new chapters. And the success is still there considering that season 3 will be available October 3, 2024. Excerpts have been broadcast for the occasion and it will be great.
