Nintendo plans to re-release many games to the Switch system in its Super Mario catalog this year.
According to the VGC report, multiple sources confirmed the game company's plan to regain ownership of the 35-year-old series. Eurogamer has confirmed that these repair tools will include Super Mario 64 in 1997, Super Mario Sunshine in 2002 and Super Mario Galaxy in 2007.
There are also reportedly new versions of Paper Mario and the deluxe 2013 Super Mario 3D World.
The Super Mario 35th Anniversary Show was originally scheduled for E3 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, before the event was cancelled. The company said it will continue to be "flexible and redirected" and work "other ways" to make people aware of its activities and products, adding that it is unlikely to participate in industry events in the "foreseeable future."
