During the recent D23 event, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni shared highly anticipated details about the upcoming Star Wars film titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu.” The film, which promises to be an expansion of the fan-favorite Star Wars universe, will feature the adventures of the Mandalorian (played by Pedro Pascal) and the popular Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda. Apparently, smart people took advantage of the event to leak images.

Jon Favreau announced that filming for the movie had only started a few weeks ago. On this occasion, a special trailer was unveiled to the fans present. That was Victim of a leak in the networks. This first preview revealed an intense scene in which the Mandalorian infiltrates a base full of snowtroopers. The scene appears to take place on a snowy planet that could be Hoth, an iconic place in the universe star Wars.

In this sequence, we see the Mandalorian descending a huge snow-covered mountain aboard a small AT-ST, with Grogu on his lap. The action culminates in the appearance of two fearsome AT-ATs firing at them, adding dramatic tension to the scene.

Another highlight of the trailer is the appearance of Zebb, a character well known to fans of Star Wars Rebels. Zebb sends an encouraging message to the Mandalorian before leaving for his mission. Which will delight fans of the animated series. The trailer ends on a lighter note with the presence of Babu Frik, a character introduced in Star Wars: Ascension of SkywalkerInteraction with Grogu.

Jon Favreau is directing and co-writing alongside Dave Filoni. The two creators are also producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm. This project is a continuation of Favreau and Filoni’s previous work on the series The Mandalorianwhich contributed significantly to the revival of the universe star Wars on Disney+.
