Apple is working on a new iPad mini, but it shouldn’t be much different, aside from a faster processor. The only possible issue is Apple Intelligence, which isn’t supported on this mini. However, we don’t know if the next iPad mini will have the 8GB of RAM needed to run Apple Intelligence. The current model has 4GB, so it would need a huge boost.
The current model is already a great option, with an ultra-light design built around an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an A15 processor, and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera. It also has a Touch ID-compatible power button and a USB-C fast-charging port. Weighing about half a pound, it’s smaller and lighter than a book, and sturdy enough to slip into any bag or backpack.
