Apple, in the fight against coronavirus
Apple has announced the launch of a new iPhone app and a new website dedicated to COVID-19. Both tools are designed to be a guide to information and self-assessment for anyone with this condition, who believes they have symptoms or who do not want to take risks.
Apple has partnered with the CDC, the White House Coronavirus Control Forces, and FEMA to develop the project.
Both the app and the website provide users with the ability to answer a series of COVID-19 related questions risk factors, recent exposure, symptoms … They also provide recommendations and steps to follow, including a community outreach guide and instructions on how to monitor the symptoms.
Of course, Apple warns that this guideline is not intended to include suggestions by health care providers or authorities.
Finally, the iPhpone app and website provide access to COVID-19-related resources so that people can be informed and supported. Users will find answers to frequently asked questions about this virus.
