Fast charging technology allows us to charge our phone to 100% in a few minutes, which is especially useful if we have forgotten to charge our smartphone and we need to leave the house as soon as possible. Although today it is easy to find mobile phones with fast charging between 30W and 120W, There are manufacturers who go even further..
This is the case of Realme, a company that has already reached 240W in mobile phones such as the Realme GT 3 or the GT Neo 5. Of course, the manufacturer is not satisfied with this figure: just a few days ago we announced that it had managed to develop a 320W fast charging system that the company calls “supersonic charging”.
The new system promises a full charge in less than five minutes
Earlier this week, Realme posted a video on Weibo in which it teased the arrival of the 320W fast charging system, without sharing further details. The company took the opportunity to highlight its progress in this area, pointing out that in recent years launched devices with 65W, 150W and 240W fast charging. In the Weibo post, Realme said it will provide more details on August 14.
Although 91mobiles echoed a leaked video in which we could see a Realme mobile passing by from 0% to 17% in just 35 seconds Thanks to the 320W fast charging system we talked about, we still didn’t know how long it would take to charge the battery to 100%.
Finally, the company officially presented the new 320W fast charging system and confirmed that it allows you to go from 0 to 100% in just four minutes and 30 seconds. In the video published by Realme, we see that in just one minute the mobile reaches a charge of 26%.
Although the company has not confirmed the battery capacity of the mobile phone used for the announcement of this technology, The numbers are more than surprising and they far exceed the charging time of phones like the Realme GT 3 and GT Neo 5, which can be charged to 100% in just under 10 minutes thanks to their 240W.
Realme explains that the more individual battery cells that can be charged simultaneously, the higher the charging speed achieved. Taking this into account, The company has developed a foldable battery system composed of four different cells. The manufacturer claims to have been inspired by the folding solar panels of satellites.
It is important to keep in mind that for now there is no more information on Realme’s plans with this technology, so we will have to wait and see if the manufacturer decides to launch a mobile phone with 320W fast charging.
