Original article [Mon 5th Aug, 2024 16:00 BST]:
The upcoming Shadow of the Ninja – Reborn, a remake of the NES side-scrolling action game Shadow of the Ninja, is out at the end of the month. But if you’re not sure if you want to pick up this reimagined classic, ININ Games has confirmed that the demo will be available on Switch “soon.”
The demo is out now on Xbox Series X|S platforms, so you can check it out there if you have Microsoft’s home console. But if you’ve been waiting to try out the handheld experience on Nintendo’s console, well, you’ll have to wait for it to arrive.
In the meantime, the trailer gives you a little insight into what to expect — rock music, action-packed single-player or local co-op gameplay, and beautiful pixel art. The demo contains the first stage of the game, and you can try it alone or with a friend.

The full game comes out on August 29th, so we expect the demo to pop up on the eShop before then. Until then, you’ll have to wait in the shadows of Shadow of the Ninja – Reborn.
