Two new features are introduced with the Age of Heroes update for Conan Exiles.
Conan Exiles, Funcom’s open-world survival sandbox game, welcomes the Age of Heroes, its third season of free major content updates.
The first chapter of this new season, which will be released in October, brings two important new features.
The first introduces a brand new breed of player characters to recruit and adventure with. The second breathes an unprecedented level of life into the player base by giving Thralls – the player’s servants and fighters – realistic behavior and interactions.
The first chapter of Age of Heroes features the first companion characters – Freya, the Aesir warrior, and Liu Fei, the Khitan wizard.
Each of these fully voiced characters has their own story through which the player can accompany them.
On these epic journeys, each companion’s abilities are influenced by events and the player’s decisions.
More companions are planned for later chapters.
The second major feature in Chapter 1 is the living settlements – they turn the slaves into living, breathing residents of the player’s base, living their lives, speaking out, and even running crafting stations.
Not only do they behave like real people with needs like eating and sleeping, but they also defend their homes when threatened. As with every update, the new features are accompanied by bug fixes and quality of life improvements.
The Age of Heroes ushers in more changes to Conan Exiles. Between each chapter update, another smaller update will be released, focusing on events, quality of life, and bug fixes.
In addition, the Battle Pass has been retired and the people working on it will be distributed across all other areas of the game. The Bazaar item shop will remain.
Age of Heroes will be released in October for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass.
