Hellraiser 2 has always been a grand parody of itself from a narrative perspective, with Arrow making the most of the absurdity that comes with Starship Troopers-style declarations of patriotic fervor. The gaming community has embraced this in rather hilarious role-playing style many times before, but its latest instance may be the most unexpected yet.
First up, you’ve no doubt heard about the backlash over some of the balance changes in the Freedom Upgrade update, and Arrowhead has now released a whole plan to deal with it. Well, what ended up being an in-game protest as frustrated players tried to get Automata to reach Super Earth in the game’s galactic war has now blossomed into something of a spontaneous protest.

If you head over to the Helldivers 2 subreddit today, you’ll probably see a bunch of posts mentioning a group called “Chaosdivers,” which seems to be a name players came up with for their internal movement that wants to see the fall of a super-Earth because they’ve lost faith in the original Helldivers’ cause.
Seriously, there are memes featuring characters promoting this new movement, both for and against it, in a style similar to many of the Malevelon Creek posts from earlier this year – one even went a step further by designing the concept of Chaosdivers in the game, featuring a logo that the community seems to have settled on.
“Your eyes have been opened. You abandoned your home world and sacrificed your life to be free. Your actions will have consequences. The children of Super Earth will burn with your wrath. You will not regret it,” the cape’s description reads. Sharp stuff.
People do seem a little confused as to whether those who consider themselves Chaos Stalkers are their own separate faction or are basically joining forces with the automatons they’ve been trying to help take over Super Earth by refusing to fight back, but hey, things aren’t usually black and white.
There was even some discussion about whether Arrowhead should add the Chaosdivers to the game as some sort of real faction, with most players in favor of doing so, seemingly believing that the group was simply a human hostile faction, rather than adding PvP to the game by letting people choose to join the group.
