The Nintendo Switch 2 is not scheduled to be released until April 2025, according to Business Insider, but a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer has hinted that the new Nintendo console and the PS5 Pro could soon go into mass production.
How The Gamer based on an article in the magazine MoneyDJ reported, the head of the company Weltrend explained that orders for consoles are increasing again in the third quarter, including the first deliveries of new models of the PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
The new models could be the Switch 2 and the PS5 Pro. Microsoft has also announced new editions of the Xbox Series X/S.

A start of mass production in October 2024 would fit the predicted release period. However, things are different for the PS5 Pro. Industry insiders Henderson and Grubb consider the release of the new PS5 at the end of 2024 to be realistic.
However, if the PS5 Pro really does not go into mass production until October 2024, then a release of the console towards the end of the year seems rather unlikely.
